The story of journalist Torgny Segerstedt, who was a prominent critic of Hitler and the Nazis during a period when the Swedish government and the monarch aimed to maintain Sweden's neutrality and avoid tensions with Germany. Torgny was one of the leading journalists in Sweden in the 20th century. He fought a single battle against Hitler and the Nazi regime until his death in 1945 and during these turbulent times his private life was marked by a world in chaos as he falls in love with his friend's wife while he was married himself.
The Last Sentence combines the story of a psychological love story with the political situation in which Sweden found itself during World War II. A fascinating, dramatic and poetic tale about a man who could not be silenced.
