On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the Taiwan Film Weekend, on September 18 at 19:00, Kino Armata will screen A Chip Odyssey, directed by Hsiao Chu-chen.
The documentary A Chip Odyssey explores the history and significance of the semiconductor industry, tracing how Taiwan became one of the world’s most important technology hubs. Through the stories of people, companies, and technological developments, the film follows the journey of chips from their conception and production to their impact on everyday life and the global economy. At the same time, it highlights international competition, the world’s growing dependence on technology, and Taiwan’s strategic role in the global semiconductor supply chain.
